Qwen-Image-2.1-Turbo API Guide

Where to call the official API: Qwen-Image-2.1-Turbo is available from Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (百炼, model id qwen-image-2.1-turbo) and from OpenRouter (model qwen/qwen-image-2.1-turbo). Both bill per call with your own account and API key; see their own sites for current terms.

The model handles text-to-image and image editing behind the same endpoint. One thing caught us out: fal and Replicate currently list the older Qwen-Image, not 2.1 Turbo, so read the model id carefully before you pick a provider. TurboImageGen is independent and not affiliated with Alibaba Cloud or OpenRouter.

Quick start (curl / Python)

Based on the official Model Studio API reference (DashScope synchronous protocol). Replace {WorkspaceId} with your workspace ID; the key and endpoint must be from the same region.

Parameters

• size: width*height, total pixels between 512×512 and 2048×2048, aspect ratio from 1:8 to 8:1.
• prompt_extend: prompt rewriting, default true.
• seed: 0–2147483647 for reproducible output.
• Reference images: add up to 10 {"image": "..."} objects before the text for editing.

Rate limits and errors

Alibaba Cloud lists 120 requests per minute for this model. Error codes are documented in the Model Studio error-code reference. Result URLs expire after 24 hours, so download images promptly.

Does TurboImageGen have an API?

No. TurboImageGen is a browser generator only and does not offer, resell or proxy API access. To call the model from your own code, use one of the official providers above with your own account and key. If you just want images, generate them here in your browser.
