Free try · 2 free, no sign-up · not affiliated with Alibaba
Qwen-Image-2.1-Turbo is the 8-step version of Qwen-Image-2.1, the open image model that Alibaba's Qwen team released on October 9, 2026. It uses the same 7B visual generator as the full model but finishes an image in 8 denoising steps instead of 40. One model handles text-to-image and image editing.
This page lets you run it online without a GPU, ComfyUI, or any install. Type a prompt, choose an aspect ratio, and generate. Your first images are free and need no account. Signed-up accounts get 10 more free images at 1K with no watermark. Paid plans are opening soon, and images made with paid credits will be 2K HD with no watermark.
TurboImageGen is an independent service that calls the model via OpenRouter on Alibaba Cloud's paid Qwen Image 2.1 Turbo endpoint. We are not affiliated with Alibaba Cloud or the Qwen team.
What is Qwen-Image-2.1-Turbo?
An accelerated checkpoint of Qwen-Image-2.1: 8 denoising steps, a 7B-parameter visual generator, released on October 9, 2026. Text-to-image and editing live in one model. The open weights are under the Qwen Research License; this site calls the model via OpenRouter on Alibaba Cloud's paid Qwen Image 2.1 Turbo endpoint instead.
What you can make
Posters with readable text, portraits, product shots, logos and stickers on a clean white background, and composites from several reference images. Browse tested examples in the prompt library.
Edit an image (Qwen Image Edit 2.1)
Editing is built into Qwen-Image-2.1, so there is no separate "Edit" model. Upload-and-edit in the browser is coming next; tell us you want it with the "Edit this image" button under a result.
Logos, stickers and product shots on white
For a logo, sticker or product you want to reuse, end the prompt with "on a clean white background" so nothing else ends up behind the subject.
How it works
- Write a prompt.
- Pick an aspect ratio.
- Generate and download.
